Law enforcement 

The primary focus of the SoCoVal CSD is to provide supplemental Law enforcement to the communities of Mecca, Thermal, Oasis, and Vista Santa Rosa. 
The SoCoVal CSD contracts with the Riverside County Sheriff's Office for supplemental law enforcement services.

BURRTEC

The SoCoVal CSD contracts with Burrtec Waste Industries, INC. to collect and dispose of residential and commercial solid waste. This service includes curb side service and special pick ups for projects and construction. 


TRASH ABATEMENT PROGRAM

Located at Avenue 63 and Highway 111 is the TOM Site which is open on the second saturday of each month from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. This site accepts hard to get rid of residential refuse from residents of the District. Proof of residency is required. Hazardous waste such as paint, oil, acid, batteries and tires with rims will not be accepted. 

There is mandatory residential curbside service within the District and this trash collection site is supplemental to that service.

  • Please Bring your household bulky items only to site such as appliances, tree trimmings, furniture, scrap metal, mattresses, tires without Rims, etc.




   
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED
Paint, oil, insecticides, household hazardous waste, food waste, commercial waste, tires with rims, commercial tires, batteries, motors, etc.

GRAFFITI/ROADSIDE TRASH ABATEMENT SERVICES

To report graffiti please email us at scvcsd@verizon.net. The program is not active at the moment but we will forward your report to Riverside County. 

COMMUNITY CLEAN UPS

Trashbuster is a District wide clean up event. It includes road side trash collection, school beautification programs, and trash bins for residents of the District to dispose of bulky items. 
Volunteers  and students from each of the SCVCSD communities collect road side trash, paint, plant flowers and trees, and more during this day.
